A start is made on the 'Mound' and the 'rampart' trench is sliced into the slope.

Wednesday was a blow out! Storm force winds and heavy rain onsite meant we cancelled all work for the day-during which the perimeter fence needed constant attention when it blew down.

A busy day for the onsite archaeologists explaining what was going on and the processes and finds.
PETROC College came and photographed the site, and in due course will provide some exciting visuals for us to use.

School visits started and we had the excitement of ITV West Country news turn up for a news indent.
Monkleigh Primary school were the beneficiaries of the interviews!
