Description

The Rolle Canal, also known as the Torrington Canal, was a tub-boat canal that linked Great Torrington to the River Torridge, three miles above Bideford. Opened in 1827, it was closed in 1871, but there's still lots to see if you know where to look.

The Society are actively restoring sections of the canal and aim to make the public aware of this piece of transport history.
